With the ongoing strain from federal SNAP issues and government funding uncertainty, Blazer Kitchen needs our help more than ever. They serve hundreds of UAB students, staff, and families — and their shelves are running low on some essentials.

❄️ How the Donation Drive Works

1. Bring Donations
Drop off canned fruit, dried fruit, soups/stews, spices, personal hygiene products, or cleaning supplies at Alabama Art Supply.
These items are urgently needed at UAB’s Blazer Kitchen.

2. Earn Drawing Entries
Every donated item earns one entry into our drawing for
$25, $50, or $75 Holiday Merchandise Awards.

Winners will be drawn on December 22, just in time to make it a gift for yourself or a loved one.

3. Get Your Snowflake Scratch-Off Card
Every donor also receives a Snowflake Scratch-Off Card, and every card wins a prize.
Prizes include:

  • $5 merch awards
  • Free Alabama Art stylus pens
  • Free Liquitex Bio-Based samples
  • Extra drawing entries

About Blazer Kitchen
Founded in 2017, Blazer Kitchen is UAB’s on-campus food pantry supporting students, employees, and referred patients facing food insecurity. To date, it has provided over 882,000 meals, including 145,000 meals in the last year alone. Operated through the UAB Benevolent Fund, Blazer Kitchen offers free, healthy food and helpful resources at multiple campus locations, all while treating every visitor with dignity, compassion, and respect.
