Explore something new through focused workshops in art fundamentals, materials and techniques, creative experiences, youth art, and professional development. Academy workshops are offered throughout the month, with new subjects and instructors regularly added.

Ron Lewis - Open Studio Classes
Award-winning artist Ron Lewis brings decades of professional painting experience to his Tuesday Open Studio Art Classes at Alabama Art Supply. Working in watercolor, acrylic, and oil, Ron is known for capturing light, atmosphere, and the character of everyday scenes. His relaxed open-studio format allows artists to work on projects of their choice while receiving individual guidance, demonstrations, and encouragement from an accomplished artist and experienced instructor. All skill levels are welcome.

Susan Oliver - Open Studio Classes
Artist and instructor Susan Oliver leads a weekly Acrylic Painting Class designed to help artists develop their skills while working at their own pace. Students receive individualized guidance as they explore acrylic painting techniques, color, composition, and their own creative direction in a supportive studio setting. Whether you're building on existing skills or returning to painting after time away, Susan's class offers regular studio time and personal instruction. All skill levels are welcome.

Cynthia Parsons - Open Studio Classes
Award-winning artist and instructor Cynthia Parsons leads a weekly Open Studio Art Class where artists can pursue their own projects while receiving individualized instruction and guidance. An accomplished painter whose work spans watercolor, portraiture, florals, landscapes, and abstraction, Cynthia brings decades of professional experience to the classroom. Her open-studio format gives students dedicated time to create, ask questions, explore techniques, and develop their individual artistic voice in a supportive environment. All skill levels are welcome.
In case of inclement weather, Cynthia zooms the Thursday Open Studio from her home in Madison County, Alabama. The Zoom sessions are from 12:00- 2:00 CST and Cynthia will provide the link to the zoom sessions when necessary.
