Weekly Classes are regular art classes held in our classroom at Alabama Art Supply. We offer several weekly art classes led by professional artists who love to teach. If you are a beginner exploring your creative side, want to learn a new art skill to add to your repertoire, or take your art to the next level, try these classes. Ron Lewis, Susan Oliver, Susan Ripp, Nettie Bean, and Cynthia Parsons teach our classes. Read more about their classes below.
Our store is located at 1006 23rd Street South, Birmingham, AL 35205. Get directions to our store here.
Please call us Monday through Saturday, 10 am - 6 pm if you have any questions about our classes or getting to our store.
We also hold Workshops. These are one-time events and each one has a different theme or art instruction experience. Our regular workshop instructors are Lisa Opielinski and Chris Cruz, with other guest instructors throughout the year. Click Here to visit our Workshop Page.

Come join local Birmingham artist Susan Oliver, previously featured in Southern Living, for acrylic painting classes at Alabama Art Supply. Classes are taught in 4-part increments over the course of each month.
These classes are fun, highly individualized, and you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with Susan to develop your own personal style. If you are looking to think outside of the box and have a great time, this is the class for you!
Please bring a canvas (size of your choice), brushes, and an assortment of acrylic paints. Students who wish to purchase supplies at Alabama Art Supply will receive a discount.

Paint with Nettie Bean on Wednesday Afternoons
Please join us! Spaces are available.
I enjoy multiple styles and painting techniques. Visit my website at www.nettiebean.com.
It is not my objective to have my students paint like me. I love helping others find and develop their own style. Learning painting technique is important but the greatest skill to be learned in painting is the ability to "see." To see the subject of your painting as it really is and not a preconceived idea of its elements. To see the development of a painting in progress, the beauty of an individual brush stroke, and to refrain from overworking! To see that you have created something that would not exist if it were not for your efforts!
We are created in God's image. He is the great Creator. Therefore, we are creators! Go create!
