Alabama Art Academy is a creative community where artists of all ages and levels of experience come together to learn new skills, explore new ideas, and inspire one another. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time, returning to art after many years, or sharing decades of artistic experience, you'll find opportunities to learn, create, share, and grow.
Our Academy is organized into five areas of study, offering workshops and experiences for every stage of the creative journey.

- Creative Living – Discover the joy of creativity through art, wellness, and seasonal projects.

Throughout the year, the Academy also hosts Special Events, including guest artists, demonstrations, community art experiences, and workshops that celebrate the rich creative culture of our region.
Our workshops are taught by practicing artists, educators, and creative professionals who are passionate about sharing the techniques, experiences, and inspiration that have shaped their own artistic journeys. Every instructor brings a unique perspective, allowing students to explore a wide variety of artistic styles, materials, and creative approaches.

Alabama Art Academy is always looking for talented artists, makers, designers, educators, and creative professionals interested in teaching workshops that inspire others.
Whether your expertise is painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, business, framing, illustration, photography, or another creative discipline, we'd love to hear your ideas.
Our instructors don't teach from a prescribed curriculum. Instead, we encourage artists to develop workshops that reflect their own experience, creativity, and enthusiasm.
