About the Exhibit, Fundraiser & Reception

This special exhibit at the Trussville Public Library is part of Arts Trussville’s annual fundraising effort to support community art programming, future public exhibits, and ongoing operations.

Here’s how it works:

• Each participating artist submits one original, ready-to-hang work.

• Selected works will be included in Arts Trussville’s Online Art Auction to help raise funds for our programs.

• In appreciation, each selected artist will receive gallery space at the Trussville Library Gallery in January–February 2026 to display two additional works. There are no commissions or fees on those two pieces.

• The community will be invited to an Artist Reception and Silent Auction Closing at the Trussville Public Library, where guests can meet the artists and place final bids on auction pieces.

It’s a creative way to give back—supporting local arts while gaining valuable exposure in the community.

What We’re Seeking

We are accepting:

• Original 2D artwork

• Original photography

Works should be suitable for public display in a library setting and eligible for hanging.
This is a juried opportunity with a fundraising component.

How to Apply

Deadline: December 1, 2025

1. Email one digital image of the work you wish to submit to:

2. Use the subject line:
   Arts Trussville Exhibit Submission – [Your Name]

3. In the email, include:

• • Artist name
  • Title of the work
  • Medium
  • If the artwork is framed (If so, please include a photo of the framed art.)
  • Dimensions
  • The value or price of this art
  • Phone and email
  • City

If Selected

• You agree to donate the submitted work (the same piece you emailed) to be auctioned in Arts Trussville’s Online Art Auction fundraiser. The piece must arrive ready to hang.

• You will be invited to exhibit two additional works at the Trussville Public Library for approximately 60 days (January–February 2026).

• Those two additional works may be offered for sale at your own set price. Arts Trussville will take no commission or fees on those sales. The pieces must arrive ready to hang.

   

• You will be a featured artist on the Alabama Art Supply and Arts Trussville websites. Please provide a photo of yourself, your biography or artist statement, and 8-10 print quality images of your artwork.

Ready-to-Hang Requirements

All accepted work must be:

• Framed or gallery-wrapped with finished edges

• Equipped with a secure wire hanger

• Sturdy enough to hang safely

No loose canvases, clips, tape, string, etc.

Key Dates

• Submission Deadline: December 1, 2025

• Exhibit on View: January 1 – February 28, 2026

• Artist Reception & Silent Auction Close: February 8, 2026 at the Trussville Public Library
