Ron Lewis
Ron Lewis is an award-winning painter whose work in oil, watercolor, and acrylic has garnered national and international acclaim.
A graduate of the University of Montevallo in Alabama, Lewis has received over 95 awards for his art and is an elected signature member of the prestigious American Watercolor Society.
His work has been featured in major exhibitions across the country, including Watercolor U.S.A., the Alabama and Southern Watercolor Societies, Rocky Mountain Watercolor Society, Mainstreams, and the Birmingham Art Association.
He has also been honored with a place in the Dixieland Watercolor and Drawing Show and was one of only 100 artists selected to exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution through the National Park Academy of the Arts.
In addition to his paintings, Lewis has illustrated two books: My Country Roads by Lou Brown, which quickly sold out, and Papa’s Old Trunk by Mary Butler. His illustrations and paintings have been featured in Revue Moderne in Paris, Southern Accents, Birmingham Magazine, The Artist Magazine, American Artist, and American Artist Acrylic Highlights.
Ron Lewis’s work can be found in esteemed public and private collections, including the Birmingham Museum of Art, the Columbus Museum in Georgia, and the Fine Arts Museum of the South in Mobile, Alabama.
His corporate collectors include Sonat, the Bank of Japan, and the Boborfoush Collection, among others throughout the United States and internationally.
He has been an Honored Artist at the Birmingham Festival of the Arts and has presented numerous solo exhibitions across the U.S. and in Tokyo, Japan.
Ron is listed in Who’s Who in American Art, a testament to his longstanding contributions to the visual arts and his respected place in the contemporary American art scene.
