Kathy Prince
Kathy Prince is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a 1982 graduate of Auburn University College of Pharmacy. She has had a lifelong love affair with Art. As a child, her Christmas wish list was all about crayons and paints, and as a young woman, she began painting waterfowl in watercolors. While working in various hospitals in the Greater Birmingham area, drawing and painting have served as her free-time passion, and she developed great skill in creating detailed colored pencil drawings. She enjoys creating commissioned pet portraits in colored pencil, oil and acrylic.

As Kathy begins the process of retiring from the healthcare field and the demands of that stressful and structured existence fade far away, she hopes to step through a new door into a new role - becoming a full-time Professional Artist. When asked "What will be found in that new land?", she believes that the choice is in her hands. It may be a well-composed, moody and evocative landscape. It may be an energetic, abstract dance of light and shade. Or one might find a symphony of vibrant and harmonious colors. Each discovery in artistic expression kindles the flame for the next.

She has taught art at the Trussville Senior Activity Center, exhibited at the Trussville Merchants Art Show, and the Trussville Public Library; and was honored to be the Featured Artist at the 2017 Taste of Trussville Charity Event. She holds memberships in the Cahaba Art Association and the Mountain Brook Art Association.
