2023 Rhythms of Color Student Art Competition
- For Students in 6th through 12th Grades
- 2D or 3D Art
- Art will be displayed and prizes and ribbons will be awarded by Alabama Art Supply at the 17th Annual Rhythms of Color Art Festival on Saturday, October 14th, 5 - 9 pm at the Harbert Center 2019 4th Ave N., Birmingham, AL.

Requirements
- Students currently enrolled in grades 6 through 12 may purchase an Art Presentation Kit, which includes a black backer board, information card, and a ticket to the 17th Annual Rhythms of Color Art Fest.
- The Art Presentation Kit is $10 and can be purchased here. (The event competition is over. Please check back for the 2024 Student Art Competition.)
- The student can choose from 11x14, 16x20, or 18x24.
- Art should be trimmed to fit the backer board with at least One Inch of black backer board showing around the edges of the art. (See the image below.)
- One kit should be purchased for each piece of art submitted.
- There is no limit to the number of kits purchased or art pieces submitted.
- Parents and other companions may use any of the additional event tickets.
- Art Presentation Kits can be purchased and picked up at Alabama Art Supply. Any order with 10 or more kits can be delivered or mailed to a school or home if desired. Shipping fees may apply.
- Art should be submitted by 5 pm on October 1st to Alabama Art Supply.
- An Information Card should accompany each piece of art and be completely filled out with the Name of the Artist, Age, Grade, and School, as well as the Artist's or Parent's Phone Number.
- 2D Art can be any painting, drawing, or photography and must be neatly mounted using the Art Presentation Kit.
- 3D Art should be no larger than 16 inches and an Information Card from the Art Presentation Kit should be included with each art piece.
- Art can be picked up at Alabama Art Supply any time after the event.
- Any art that is submitted without meeting all requirements will not be included in the competition.

BEST IN SHOW: $250 Merchandise Award from Alabama Art Supply
First Place: $150 Cash
Second Place: $100 Cash
Third Place: $50 Cash
Ten Honorable Mention Awards: $25 Merchandise Awards from Alabama Art Supply
All Participants will receive a $10 Merchandise Award just for entering the contest.
We will also recognize and award the art instructor of the student who wins Best in Show.
